"Mississippi State Bulldogs - The Bulldogs’ football team plays its home games in Davis Wade Stadium at Scott Field. The 88-year-old historic facility is the nation's second-oldest football stadium and was expanded in 1985, ’86. ’01. The stadium, which has a seating capacity of approximately 52,000, has averaged 85 percent of its capacity in each of the last 11 years. The Bulldogs main rivals include Ole Miss, LSU, South Carolina, Vanderbilt and Auburn."

"In 1932, The 13 members of the Southern Conference west and south of the Appalachian Mountains reorganized and formed the Southeastern Conference. The SEC has won 72 national championships during the last 10 years, averaging more than seven per year in the 20 sports the league sponsors. The SEC won seven national titles in 2001.
