About San Diego State Aztec Football

"San Diego State Football plays its home games in Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, CA. The Aztecs have a tradition of great players including such current NFL all-pros as Marshall Faulk and Kyle Turley. Legend has it that SDSU gave birth to the infamous West Coast offense in the days of then Aztec coach Don ""Air"" Coryell who later would go on to coach the Chargers of the National Football League. In the late 90's the SDSU football program began to slide, but seems to have now revitalized under the tutorage of coach Tom Craft. The Aztecs expect to compete for the MWC Championship on a uearly basis. Major Aztec rivals include, BYU, Colorado State, Utah, Wyoming, Air Force, New Mexico and UNLV."

MWC Football Football

"The Mountain West Conference originated on May 26, 1998, when the presidents of eight Universities - Air Force, Brigham Young, Colorado State, New Mexico, San Diego State, UNLV, Utah and Wyoming - met in Denver and decided to form the MWC. The Conference has been the number one power non-BCS conference since its birth. Historically, BYU and Colorado State have been the dominating powers consistantly residing in the AP and Coach's top 25. BYU most recently won the National Championship in 1984."
