The Horned Frogs were formerly members of the Western Athletic Conference, but recently joined Conference USA. Major TCU rivals include Tulsa, SMU, Texas Tech, Southern Miss, Memphis, Saint Louis, Cincinnati and Marquette."

"Conference USA is one of the youngest conferences in college sports having been formed in 1995. However, C-USA has quickly made a name for itself with its overall outstanding play in basketball and football, as it has in a number of additional sports. In basketball, Cincinnati, Marquette, Louisville and Memphis have become post-season regulars and the conference has continuously placed teams near the top of the national ranking.
