Pittsburgh Penguin History

"The Pittsburgh Penguins joined the league in 1967 and have been a solid competitor in the league since their inception. The proudest moments in Penguins history are the back-to-back Stanley Cup titles the team won in 1991 and 1992. The Penguins were led that year by one of the league’s all time great players Mario Lemieux. Lemieux retired a few years later due to his bought with cancer but overcame the disease and resumed his playing career. During his stints with the Penguins Lemieux was able to play with another great player, Jaromir Jagr and the two players created one of the most potent one-two combos the game has ever known."
