Vancouver Canuck History
"The Canucks joined the NHL in 1971. Although joining the league in the 70s, it took the team until the early 80s to win its first playoff series. The team reached the Stanley Cup finals in 1994 but lost in seven games to the New York Rangers. The Canucks did play in one of the highest scoring games in league history in 1983 when they beat the Minnesota North Stars 10-9. The nineteen-goal total has not been duplicated since."
