St. Louis Ram History

"The Rams are one of the NFL’s oldest franchises and trace their lineage back to 1937 when the team played in Cleveland. After six consecutive losing seasons the team was disbanded for a year because of a manpower shortage due to the World War. In 1946, the Rams moved to Los Angeles and would go on to win four division championships in seven years and an NFL title. The Rams would suffer some disappointing decades following their success in the 40s but would return to their former glory in the 70s. They won five straight NFC Western division championships from 1973 to 1977 with Chuck Knox at the helm and then two more divisional titles after Ray Malavasi replaced Knox in 1978. The 1979 Rams won the NFC championship before losing to Pittsburgh 31-19 in Super Bowl XIV. In 1995, the team moved to St. Louis and rewarded the city with a Super Bowl victory in 1999 behind league MVP Kurt Warner and star running back Marshall Faulk."

St. Louis Ram Information

"The Rams play in the National Football Conference West Division. Division rivals include the Seattle Seahawks, Arizona Cardinals and San Francisco 49ers. Major rivalries include Rams vs. Bucs and Rams vs. Eagles."

Edward Jones Dome

"The Rams play their home games in the Edward Jones Dome located in St. Louis. The $280 million stadium opened in 1995 and seats approximately 65,000 fans for football games. The stadium has an enviably intimate seating configuration, providing every seat in the house with an ""on top of the action"" feel."
