Tampa Bay Devil Ray
History
"The Devil Rays started their tenure in baseball in 1998. In 1999, while play for the D-Rays, Wade Boggs becomes the first player to reach the 3,000 hit milestone with a home run. In September of 2000, a game between the Devil Rays and A’s is postponed due to Hurricane Gordon becoming only the third game in a domed stadium to be canceled. In 2002, Joe Kennedy goes the distance in beating the Mariners ending a string of 186 games in which Tampa hasn’t had a pitcher complete a game, a MLB record."
