Houston Astro
History
"The Astros joined the MLB in 1960. Formerly the Houston Colt .45s, the team changed its name at the beginning of the 1965 season. This year, the Astros introduced the world to indoor baseball as the inaugural game in the Astrodome was played. In 1980, the club captured its first title behind the play of Phil Niekro and Joe Morgan. The following year, Nolan Ryan tossed his fifth no-hitter for the club. In 1986, Mike Scott became Houston’s first ever Cy Young award winner. In 1994, Jeff Bagwell became the first Astro to win baseball’s MVP award. In ’97, the ‘Stros captured their fist ever Central Division title and Craig Biggio became the first player in MLB history to not ground into a double play in a 162-game schedule."

Information
"The Astros play in the National League Central Division. Division rivals include the Chicago Cubs, Cincinnati Reds, Milwaukee Brewers, Pittsburgh Pirates and St. Louis Cardinals. Major rivalries include Astros vs. Cardinals, Astros vs. Giants, Astros vs. Braves and Astros vs. Rangers."
Minute Maid Park
"The Astros play their home games in Minute Maid Park. The retractable roof stadium cost $250 million to build and seats 42,000 people. Minute Maid Park has become a welcome home for the Houston Astros and has ushered in a new era of Major League sports in the city. The downtown ballpark continues the proud tradition of visionary innovation in stadium construction, beginning with the club's previous home - the Astrodome. Minute Maid Park's retractable roof technology brought open-air baseball to Houston for the first time in 35 years, and the natural grass surface and classic architecture provided Minute Maid Park the atmosphere of the great ballparks of baseball's Golden age."
