History
"The Minnesota Timberwolves joined the NBA in 1989 filling the gap in Minnesota left by the Lakers departure in 1960. The new team in Minnesota struggled through much of its first decade before landing high school phenomenon Kevin Garnett in the 1995 draft. Garnett paid instant dividends as he led the team to their first playoff appearance the following year. Now, as one of the most dominating players in the game, Garnett hopes to lead the Timberwolves to the Promised Land."
